The future did not look bright for Kirk DouPonce. He entered the working world at the tender age of sixteen only to be fired three weeks later from Mr. Hot Dog. Kirk’s parents, obviously dismayed, resigned themselves to the expectation of supporting their youngest boy through adulthood.
Fortunately for them, however, Kirk did have some talent. He graduated from art school and has since found gainful freelance employment designing book covers for some of the largest (and smallest) publishing houses in the U.S. and the U.K..
Through the years Kirk has designed over a thousand published covers, won a few awards, and had his work shown in Communication Arts Magazine. He was even on a book cover once filling in for an absent model. Needless to say, he’s familiar with Photoshop. Kirk lives within the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with his wife and their four children. His portfolio is available for viewing at DogEared Design.
