It’s the most Superversive time of the year.

doctor-whoSo 2016 has come and very nearly gone, and we Superversive folks have been posting over here for just about a year now. I’ve talked a lot about what Superversive is and what it isn’t, but now we’re at the time of year where those of us who are so inclined are turning our eyes towards that most Superversive of events: Christmas time and the nativity.

It’s not really my intention to talk too much about religion here; I’m aware that not everyone that reads this blog is a Christian– or even necessarily friendly to Christianity. And if nothing else, this is mostly a blog about scifi and fantasy things, not about religion. The Superversive movement isn’t an exclusively Christian movement, but at the end of the day, there were a lot of Christians and Christian ideals involved in its genesis.

Regardless of how you shake out on the religion spectrum, I wish you all a Merry Christmas. This is what we’re all about; Light breaking into a world of darkness to lift it out of the muck. There’s a lot of muck out there in the world, and the speculative fiction end of things is included in that. I’m pleased to be part of the efforts to shovel away some of that muck along with Castalia, Superversive, Silver Empire, and all our other cultural allies.

Thanks for sticking with us through this year, loyal readers. I look forward to our interactions in 2017!
